How safe is it to take an ice bath?

An ice bath should always be taken with precautionary measures in mind and if you have a pre-existing condition, you should consult a doctor and get the OK as to whether you are allowed to take an ice bath.

Before using it for the first time, you should read the instructions for use carefully.

  • Wash the ice bath with water only before use. The insulated lid (air ring) should not be over-inflated to avoid inflation and damage.
  • Do not use the ice bath if you are drunk, sleepy or have taken narcotics. This poses a danger to life.
  • Also, do not use any electronic devices during this time.
  • Do not fill with hot water over 50 degrees. The water level should not be more than 2/3.
  • Not accessible to small children; applies to older people, children or people with special restrictions.
  • Hot bathing can cause increased blood pressure, dizziness, vomiting, etc. in different body types.
  • People suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure and other illnesses, as well as pregnant women, should consult a doctor before using the ice bath.
  • Anyone who has difficulty entering the ice bath should seek assistance.
  • Do not use sharp objects, as this may cause damage to the product.
  • It is best to drain the water after use; you can also leave it in an ice bath, but in the long term you should change the water every now and then.

How long should I stay in the ice bath?

The recommended time varies depending on experience and body condition, but many experts recommend staying in the ice bath for between 5 and 15 minutes.

To start with, water should not be used below 10°C and for no more than 15 minutes. Generally the magic time is 15 minutes, research has shown that the beneficial properties diminish and diminish after 15 minutes.

How do I prepare the ice bath?

First of all, you should of course fill the ice bath with water (cold water). You should find out the ideal temperature for yourself; the more often you have done the ice bath, you can use even colder water. The body has to get used to it.

How often can I take an ice bath?

It always makes sense to take an ice bath after a hard workout. The muscles can then regenerate better. However, you shouldn't take an ice bath too often: too many ice baths reduce their effectiveness

Is an ice bath suitable for everyone?

While many people enjoy the benefits of an ice bath, it is not suitable for everyone. People with certain medical conditions or a weakened immune system should consult a doctor beforehand.

Can I swim in the ice bath?

Our ice bath is designed primarily for immersion, not swimming. It's important to stay calm and breathe deeply to use the cold effectively.

How do I care for and clean my ice bath?

After each use, you should drain the water and clean the ice bath with a mild detergent. Make sure you rinse and dry it thoroughly before using it again.
